Newberg City Manager Dan Weinheimer suddenly resigned effective yesterday after having only served in his position since February 2020. No specific reason has been provided for his resignation and Communications Manager Lacey Dykgraaf did not respond to inquiries about whether or not he is receiving any kind of severance.

According to Newberg Dundee News, Newberg City Council has reportedly appointed Newberg Library Director Will Worthey as interim city manager.

Here is a video of Worthey from 2017 explaining his favorite children’s book is “And Tango Makes Three“, a controversial story about two gay penguins who adopt a chick to form a “non-traditional family”.
